The 50 States: Utah
Stretching more than 4,800 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, the United States of America is comprised of 50 states, each with its own traditions, history, and values. The American Center invites everyone interested in learning about the USA to discover America state by state in this series of weekly talks by American guest-speakers.
Each talk will cover one of the 50 states, exploring state facts and introducing to the audience the rich and diverse landscapes, cultures, history, landmarks, events, and people that make each state unique. Each talk is presented by an American guest-speaker born and/or raised in this state.
The first event in the series on November 27 will introduce the state of Utah, nicknamed “Beehive State”. Bradley Parsons, Julie Parson, and Ansel Verhaaren, American Center’s interns, will talk about its history, geography, climate/weather, famous landmarks/cities, business/manufacturing, population demographics, culture, sports, and share some fun facts about this state.
Led by Bradley Parsons, Julie Parson, and Ansel Verhaaren, American Center’s interns
